It is reported that in the first EE-Net annual conference in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Wanli University has become one of the first 48 members of the organization named UNESCO Entrepreneurship Education-Network (EE-Net) National Chapter in China. Co-established by the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Regional Bureau for Education, Chinese National Commission for UNESCO, EE-Net aims to integrate resources and enhance communication and cooperation among countries in the Asian-Pacific Region on entrepreneurship education and academic evaluation.
In the past few years, Wanli University built various Entrepreneurship Educational platforms, including the first “Undergraduates Entrepreneurship Training Base” in Ningbo and the first “Training Base for College Entrepreneurship Director” in China, Ningbo Youth Entrepreneurship Institute and Ningbo College Students Pioneer Park. Besides, the university also conducted many effective EE activities through school fund of entrepreneurship and national innovation and entrepreneurship project. With “double-spiral” EE teaching model, the university has cultivated many talents with innovation and entrepreneurship. Among the graduates in 2014, 230 of them started businesses which offered 2319 working positions, making the rate of business starting 4.53%. Up to now, Wanli graduates have made enormous contributions to the society by building over 1400 businesses and created more than 8000 working positions.
Joining this organization and being a member of the council will help our university to open up our international vision, facilitate our communication with other higher institutes, introducing resources so as to enhance our Entrepreneurship education level.
