On July 29th, a list of “National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center” was issued from the Ministry of Education. The list contained 120 national experiment centers, including Biotechnology Experiment Center of our university.
According to a document was issued from the Education Department of Zhejiang Province in March, aiming to build national college experiment teaching demonstration center. Biotechnology Experiment Center of our university and the other 23 experiment centers from Zhejiang colleges and universities competed for this honor. After the preliminary assessment done by 985 college experts on the internet, 13 experiment centers entered into the stage of field visit and evaluation.
April 15, Education Department of Zhejiang Province organized a group of 7 experts to visit and evaluate the Biotechnology Experiment Center of Zhejiang Wanli University, which strengthens the key discipline of microorganism, the application of modern microorganism technology, and combination of teaching and scientific research. After visiting the experiment center and hearing the report of the achievements and construction project, the experts made the final recommending list which was carefully examined by Ministry of Education. Then after the period of public notice, the Biotechnology Experiment Center of our university won the honor of National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center.
