Recently, our school team has won a silver medal and a bronze one in a Tug-of-War international tournament held in Taipei. This game attracted more than ten teams from China, Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand and Chinese Taipei. On December 8, in the tug-of-war international open tournament our school team beat many teams during 9 rounds and finally won second place at the men’s 600 kg category. On the following day, in the tug-of-war invitational tournament, our school team won third place after fierce competitions during the preliminary, semi-final and final rounds. The Executive President of Zhejiang Wanli University, Professor Ying Min, who was then visiting in Taiwan, went to see the game and encourage the athletes and coaches. Hosted by Chinese Taipei Tug-of-War Society, this game aimed to promote the development of this sports activity. Members of our school team not only show their strength during the game but also bring honor back to Wanli University.
